CS:GO Prize pool has been set at 100k USD which will be the highest ever awarded for a tournament finals taking place in the region. Eight international teams will be descending on the Grand Slam armed with some heavy credentials, to face off against a roster of newcomers and seasoned challengers. We look forward to hosting them all on the main stage this December.
Much has been written and spoken about the rise of arab gaming talent with key athletes appearing in recent years on the global stage. The ability of the regions players to compete at the highest level of eSports is clear, with FIFA E-World Champions in the Global Series, a consistent output of world class players on the DOTA 2 scene, while the FGC community has seen arab players rise to new heights in Europe and the US. CS:GO is one game in which the region’s top players have yet to break into the big leagues and the PLG Grand Slam is just one additional opportunity for them to show their class.
